Default Hey Sleepy...Huckfest in Troy Oh.??

Hey Sleepy,
Talked to Greg Leach from the Waco Barnstomers yesterday, the club would love to host a huckfest at their field but time is running out to get in on the schedule. If any of you guys have been to the previous XFC competitions then you know the field. It is an awsome site...if its good enough for the XFC then its good enough for a FG huckfest!
Sleepy we are going to need your help getting this one going, its practically in your back yard plus I want to see that Dalton finished up and huckin in person. Mine will be done by then you can fly it with the zdz80.
Like I said time is running out, Waco is a full scale grass airport and they have lots of things going on during the year so we need to get this on the books. I think Greg said that early July is still open but don't quote me on that. I'm a Barnstormer also so I can help on this end.
What do you think, any interset out there????

I have presented the idea to the staff, and its under consideration.
I too would love to see it in Ohio next year, but I can't make the decision I'm only one guy out of 20 + staff.
Don't forget there is a lot to consider, and figure out.

Max and a lot of the staff (including myself) have had a busy schedule going to and covering events lately. And now the TAS is underway... you can imagine where Max and the boys thoughts are.
So I know everyone is in a hurry, but the reality is no one can contemplate the thought, until the current events are properly covered.

SO as soon as there is word, I will be sure to let everyone know.

I have had several volunteers who have experience running other major RC events who are willing to help out with a Huckfest in Troy, Ohio. We can make this happen, we just need to get with you and your staff. Dates are filling up for the use of the WACO field complex, so we need to get on the schedule to secure a date.

SleepyC, can you PM me?

Greg Leach

Tons going on right now fellas here at the FG. We definetly have the Waco location as a possible for events next year per much correspondence that we have recieved, but we haven't even started events planning yet. Once things calm down a bit, we will be able to take a better look, and start planning for 08.' Thanks for the heads up, we are definetly looking into it to see if it will be a good fit for an FG Huckfest!

I'm not FG staff, but I'll give my $.02 anyway.

I say if you've got the resources to get an "FG Huckfest" style event goin for next year and if timing is critical now then just go ahead and get it scheduled. If it turns out FG can't fit an Ohio Huckfest into their schedule for next year, then call it something else and spread the word to everybody through the forums. I'd think you'd still get a great turn-out....I know I'd be there!

Much like Sleepy and Tank said thanks for the interest (again). We'll keep it in mind if we decide to have a HF'08 event in that part of the country. Once '07 settles down a little bit we will start thinking about '08 and possible locations for those events. If FG is interested in your area we will for sure be in contact with you for further discussions. If your calendar is full then you've got a successful season of events already.

Thanks again for your interest.

HuckFest Rocks!

Mike, heya man! Good to hear from you! Like our staff mentioned, we're still trying to work our way through this year's Huckfest series with 2 more stops on the show. We do not currently have any plans for 2008, but should have a clearer idea of our schedule around the end of the year. Not making any decisions right now, but we're stoked and flattered that you guys are thinking of us!! I'll be the direct point of contact on 08 Huckfests, please direct any emails and PM's my way.

Thanks guys,

Max
