Well today the BLT Cook-off took place at the TAS. I have to say both competitors presented the judges with quite a powerhouse of culinary fare. Unfortunately a clear victory was not obtained for either party (Madmax or Super Dave). Seems the ugly face of controversy has reared its ugly head in this case. First the presentations: Max. Sandwiches constructed of a pile of pork bacon, mayo, lettuce and tomato on white bread. Side was Doritos and a Corona with lime. He has a garnish of an FG flag on a toothpick. SuperDave: Sandwiches constructed of organic turkey-bacon, Chipotle pepper mayo, heirloom tomatoes, lettuce on toasted whole wheat. Sides were a roasted garlic pasta salad and an all natural organic chocolate chip cookie. He had a garnish of a green olive on a spear. Beverage was a Pyramid Hefeweizen. Now, according the BLT thread I read here on Giants… the agreed upon judges were Rolling Thunder, Gunshow and 1bwana1. For some reason, Biff came into the equation. The voting went as follows: Gunshow: SuperDave Rolling Thunder: SuperDave 1bwna1: Madmax Right there is a clear Superdave victory, based on the rules in the BLT thread, however, Biff was added and voted for Madmax. So, it would be a tie. At the request of the spectators (not Dave or Max), Spike was asked to make a choice on who won after a short spooning session with Max and a donation to the fund he sided with Max. SuperDave was gracious in accepting the results, but I ask you, fellow Giants… does this sound like a clear victory? I think this situation screams for investigation. The rules clearly stated the judges to be used in the BLT thread. When Max felt the heat of the competition he folded and cheated like a biker in the tour de france. This was a TIE at best. Rematch?

Momo, your boy sure knows how to win !!!!!
Doesn't the commentary by Twizleair seem just a teeny bit biased? However, SuperDave is such a good sport and I'm sure that the pink shirt and the cool pink truckers hat will look lovely on him...

I can remove the turkey bacon and still have a sandwich. I can't remove the soggy toast and still call it a sandwich. Superdave had to win, even though I hated the Turkey bacon. I also let it be known that the cook that would serve me a cookie would probably win. Super Dave had the orangic cookie. Dave also serves great beer.
I think I was the biggest loser because I had to eat both of them but still I was honored to be asked to judge. The real winner is the Charity "Children of fallen soldiers" All the Giants that gave should be thanked for their support.

Let it be said that through all the controversy that this was one BADDDDA$$$ cookoff to be sure. I hope they post a vid of the event. Even though MAX CHEATED the point of the cookoff was to get a group of GIANTS together drink a few beers eat a delicious TBLT served with a high quality beer and do some good for those who have given their all for us to have the right to talk smack without fear of reprise.
To all the giants who participated in this event by donating money to the fund and hanging out for the cookoff CHEERS to you. MOMMA D please help max with his cooking skills, that soggy mess that max served was not of the high caliber you would expect from your son. Remember DARE TO CARE! Off to bed long drive home tomorrow. Keep the spirit alive i now have witnessed the power of GIANTS first hand and it is truly something BADA$$. Thanks for letting me share a small slice. SuperDave rules the TBLT |

Whaaaat? Are you trying to tell me that Max did not serve crisp bacon? Well, if that is true,
there is something wrong, it must have been sabotaged....or...Is it possible that it could have been all of that hot wind over there? lol GOOD JOB GUYS !!!!

What do i have to do to get the pink hat?
![]() You both deserve to lose....since BLT/TBLT sandwiches are poor excuses for food anyway.

Max, I thought you would play fair ??? Wow what a shocker the man would pull a fast one and fix the event.. Does Max have Dirt on all of us or what? Its a good thing the fallen soliders benifited so much from all your hard work.. Good job guys. I am enjoying the pics and coverage for FG..

Nice show guys!!!! Awesome what ya'll are doing for the kiddos!
The next BLT show off we need to make sure before hand there can not be a tie though. Max, You have a November 10-11th huckfest in Texas. If'n your up to the challenge.Boulder and I would like to take you and one other on to defend your questionable victory. Now if you up to the Texas BLT challenge then just give us a holler........... |
