I'll admit I'm a noobie at this giant scale stuff, but I'm surprised no one else has broken a prop on a non-crash landing with the stock gear. I'll have to give the aluminum a go again sometime, but not until I get my money's worth out of the prop I'm using now.

I usually touch down very lightly when I land. Every now and then I space out and start daydreaming when I'm about to touchdown. Then I may land a little harder but still the gear never really spreads that much. Not enough to make the prop hit. That's a long way to go.

Well thanks for all the feed back guys and great vid too.
I had already ordered the gear, but wont start assembling plane for a couple of weeks. whenthe graphtec gear arrives i will chuck em both on the scales just to see. i dont do harrier landings, and really wanna keep it light as possible. |

Bam, Stay around 11-11.5 The stock one with no flex I got from MTW is just about right. 11 from flange to end. I sent a mail to Reza and he confirmed the 11 inch length. My EF Extra 88 with a DA 50 turns the Mezlik 23x10 at 7400. Sea level. Throttle curve in my JR radio is as: 0 0 1 16 2 21 3 29 4 35 5 42 6 65 7 100 |
