Anyway i persuaded inky to ripp out that chunky ply plate n make a smaller one right up front. Moving the battries n regulators as far forward as poss'. All the lead is now off the nose and the cg is on the rearward point. Saving 2-lbs off the all up weight has made a big big difference. Just shows how a rushed installation will get ya into nothing but nighmares. Looking forward to seeing him enjoy the plane as it was ment to fly.

Sorry about the long update. i havnt had a lot of time for pics. But anyway here some pics. the plane is almost RTF, I'm waiting on the batteries, switches, regulators, and all i have to do is mount the reciver. pretty much finished. this plane was definitly really easy to build! The hardware that is included is amazing!
i made an removable tray for the reciver, reciver battery, and regulator. All servos are mounted in. Hitec 5955's all around. DA 50 with the DA 50 muffler, Mej. 23X8 prop, and Petes 4" carbon fiber spinner. I got some graphics on the plane as well.

Tony maidened the Extreme flight 88" Yak today. I'm posting some of the pic's I took today. Tony will be posting some video later. All I can say about this Yak is "WOW". It presents well and is the best flying 30% Yak I've seen to date. It's a keeper. Now if I could just fly like Tony..... .

Hi everyone.
The maiden was great! The 88" Exreme-Flight Yak 54 is definitly the best 30%er ive flown. It has NO bad characteristics like all the other 30%ers ive flow. a lot of them tend to be "snappy." This Yak has none of that! It is very controllable and smooth. it fly's precision and 3D like crazy! The rolls are very axail, which makes the rolling harriers really easy to do! It hovers really stable and under control. Rolling harriers are super smooth and easy to do with this plane. It fly's SUPER light and weighs really light. i will get the exact weight soon. The CG was pretty much neutral, but just a tad tail heavy. I have a video here that has flights from my 2nd and 3rd flight. And i also have some pics of the completled plane. i will upload them later tonight. This plane is amazing. The ARF/hardware is awsome. The building is very easy and quick. Tony Thomasian

Skyman,
Welcome to FG!!! I believe that Extreme Flight has the 88" in stock again. I seriously doubt that you will find one used. At least for a while. As far as your Edge, why don't you start a new thread about it. I'm sure with all teh experience on this site, someone will be able to tell you exactly what to do. 50%
