Its been over a year since Mark posted the first pictures of this plane... either there's a TON of development work going on, or there's just not a viable market for a bipe of this size.... I hope it's option #1.

I saw he had one in the Aeroworks tent at the TAS.

Looks like they are still working on it.

Rocco said they are ready to go into production or are in production. They have a pre-order special of $2195. They went through no less than three versions to get this thing right. The production prototype comes in at 42 pounds with tuned pipes. They will have two different schemes - the one we have already seen and then a yellow, blue, and silver scheme. I would not mind having one of these at all - by far the most beautiful competition bipe out there!

Do you know if this bipe has a similar center rib on the top wing like the H9 Ultimate does? I've got one of them, and the wing rattles so bad on that rib you'd think the plane was going to come to pieces.

Does the number of revisions mean there have been a lot of design problems?

Not a lot of design problems just things that we new we could do better. This one has taken a long time but we honestley feel that it will be the best airplane Aeroworks has produced to date. We are getting very close and expect them around the first of the year.

6 to 10 would be in line for development, then another couple months for production.

The problem I see right now is the state of the economy. You have to buy a container full of planes to make the buy cost effective. Out of that container you'll have to make 25 or more of them the new designs or the cost of setting up the jigs and the labor goes waaay up. If that happens you won't make any money on the kit sales. Toss in the big question mark right now regarding how many you will be able to sell in the next 30 days to recover what you paid up front prior to manufacturing for production and shipping the container.

I can understand holding off the release date under the circumstances. They'll need to move 25 to 50 planes in very short order to make the deed worth doing. Could they do it right now? Good question.
