Shootout Boat Race Video. My Analysis.

With a heavy heart, I bring our community the much sought after 2007 Boat Race Video. As you all know by now, it's been well covered here on FlyingGiants, USA straight up got our arses handed to us. Every year this contest ends in controversy, and while the video shows WHAT APPEARS TO BE EMPTY CUPS on the World team, it would appear that they beat us fair and square.

Team USA had some significant problems this year, and while all fingers were dis-proportionally pointed at our dear friend Sweetpea, there were some OTHER MAJOR SLACKERS representing our dream team. Watch the video, you'll see. Overall, I visually counted about a 35 second deficiency in from the time the World anchor - Bogan - finished his beer, and Chip finishing his. Sammy was only responsible for roughly 13 seconds of that, and the video will show a tired team who did not have the fire.

To all of next year's contestants, START PRACTICING!! And more than anything, remember the painfull march of Bogan across the table claiming the big prize, and remember how humiliating of a loss this has all been for all of us.

In the words of the great Shaquille O' Neal:

"It ain't over till the fat lady sings, and I don't know no fat ladies. Know what I'm sayin'?"

Very sad performance by the US team. However, it looks to me like Sam (Sweatpea) has been unfairly blamed for the whole thing. There is plenty of blame to go around. This cannot be allowed to repeat next year. As of now I am officialy "in training".

Sweetpea...You were at that table ready to throw down and that speaks volumes.I think this has to be chaulked up to the fact that the world team after many defeats in years past set up a secret location and started training for this a year ago.I am not sure of the origin of all the members on the world team,But let me tell you,i have 12 buds from Chek Republic,2 from austria,and these guys are all purpose built carbon based life forms to consume BEER.Has anybody had them checked for performane enhancers,How could they have that much energy after all they went through just to get there?....Better Luck Next Year!

I rarely drink, but never to the point of intoxication, but if you remember, I had a beer during the BLT cook off. In my college years I could get a beer down pretty fast, and I was not equiped with a beer belly like I have now. I'm willing to take one for the team next year!

I get your point, because of my conservative reputation I am disqualified. I still owe you 12 pack of beer. I propose a mano y mano challenge when I pay you off as a qualifier. Remember, just because on chooses not to, doesn't mean he can't....
