I thought 8611A's and the 8711 could handle higher voltages than Hitecs. I have heard of guys running them straight off lions with no regs. Just wondering.

We have been using Lions on the Spektrum using 8711's without any regs at all period this year.

I know someone who is using it with 8711's and no regulators with great results. Everything is done for you, just plug your batteries into it and you have a redundant setup.
