What do you start your airplane with?
just wondering what you guys use to start your airplane motors.
1. a paint roller 2.homemade chicken stick 3. hand 4.starter 5 i get somenoe else to start it cause im to scared to touch the prop. harv |

I use the 14.4 volt Starter Packs from www.bp-rc.com up to the OS and YS 160
Hand start all the big motors

Glow - Starter. Always
Gas. Hand with a big ol' rigging glove. (Dads hand more often than not)

My 3-DUB gets going with a NASCAR ribbed tire changing glove and anything else I have gets a Miller R/C belt-drive w/24 volt Sullivan Megatron. I've been slapped by an out of time DA 100 when I had the glove on and while it got me good, the glove kept the pain from really setting in. Got my attention!!

BME 105, 26x10 wood prop, hand no glove
3W 100, 26x12 Carbon Fiber 3-blade, hand with glove! the BME has slapped me back a couple of times, the 3dub never has

all the electronic ignision gassers with my hand no gloves, and the good old zenoahs (magneto) with a cordless drill 19 volts.

Always use my bare hand on gas, and flip it like it's going to start everytime. Chicken stick on glo.

I use a chicken stick on everything up to 50cc's. My 100 and 150 I use a glove when I can borrow one, or my bare hand.
I hate getting near that bigass prop, but I'm getting more used to it. |

hand on everything. Sometimes Chicken Stick on glow. A starter on glow when it just ain't startin.(never use my hand on glow during an event though.
