That is toooo funny. The profile bi-plane in the first pic still has almost 1/2 a tank of fuel in it. I showed it to my wife, and before I could say anything she said "ohhh, hellllll noooo." So I guess mine will have to stay out in the trailer.

SELL SOME PLANES?!?!? I thought the giants were my FRIENDS!!!!!

Rent storage and take her out for dinner; what, do you think I'm made of money?!? Got any idea what % of my disposable income is consumed maintaining my fleet?!?

Ok, you're probably right, but please note the fresh flowers on the coffee table; I do manage to keep her happy (95% of the time).

You Really do have a great wife. I have very limited space in my garage hence the reason my fleet is so small "Just two planes" Hope to solve this soon with a purpose built workshop in the back garden. "Money permitting"

Me too.

I'm about 1 day away from seriously needing some storage solutions (I actually came to this section to post a new thread on it). I'm ripping apart my house cleaning it up, and it's time to move my planes (all 15 of them, with 3 more on the way) out to the garage. I have about 20' of wall space to work with, plus some ceiling. All of my current planes are glow, nothing above 72" and most around 55". I have a GP 1.60 Ultimate coming in shortly though... I'm thinking a pulley system for it.

As for the others, I've thought about building PVC pipe racks, or something with shelf brackets, but I'm kind of at a loss... anybody have suggestions?

I can't think of anything better than what I'm currently doing... which isn't as good as I'd like. I hang them by the gear, nose up. Two heavy hooks in the wall, about 8" wider than the gear, string across some wire, fishing line, whatever (not too tight) and simply slide the line around the wheels. With 20' of wall you should have almost enough; a row of planes high, and another low.

We need some pics!!!

Good luck!

That may actually work!

I'm thinking that because of the way my garage door opens, I can use shelf racks from Home Depot for horizontal storage where I can fit a lot of them, then under the door sliders I can hang them vertically where the space would be better suited to it... the horizontal racks will go above my tables

Monkey: they look sexy hanging with the wings on (my opinion), but you could fit LOTS if you left the wings off, and they'd be ready to load into the car/trailer at a moments notice. I wish I had a garage!

Bryan: great to hear from you!!! Is the primer going to happen this year? If so, I may be there before you're here! Are you going to Toledo? Might see you there. Maybe you can break the Yak for me; no mater what I do to her, she comes away unhurt! Please say 'hi' to Frank and the rest for me. The guys here are still talking about the best food we've had at a flying event - bbq at Frank's.

GMoney: My heart bleeds for you. Tell you what, I'll be over in the morning to pick up some of those planes!!! Is that the inside of a trailer, or a room in your house? If I did that to a whole room, I think I'd be single...
