It's official - I now have a Son-In-Law
In a most unusual gathering and ceremony my daughter Ashlie married her long time other half and father of my grandchildren. The wedding was a Halloween theme and even the judge that officiated was dressed as a witch. The entire wedding party and many of the guests were in costume. (Before anyone asks, yes I was dressed as a wizard.)
The ceremony was held in my yard and the reception was a bon-fire complete with keg. (Note: for anyone having a wedding in the future - hide the tap for the keg until after the wedding!!!) Brides do not appreciate a drunk groom. All in all everything went well and there are still a few die hards around the fire and I'm still using the puter for the sound system. Here is a photo of the bride and groom, and a photo of those that attended in costume.

yea, but my staff shot fire. It is amazing what on old glow plug, a sub-C battery, a switch and some flash paper will do.

Thanks for the good wishes. It's that time of the night, the last just left. It was nice I had over an hour with just me and my daughter to sit and talk. Her new husband was passed out on the couch and after the last of the guests left we had some good time to sit and talk. It was nice, the first time in quite a while to just sit and talk.
Now comes the fun part. I have some things to get put away tonight then the clean up tomorrow. But it was worth every bit of work getting things ready and the work after it was over. I just glad that it is over. The last few weeks and especially the last couple of days have run me ragged. Nobody better bother me until well after noon tomorrow. I actually think that I will sit by the fire and relax for awhile before I go to bed.
