Actualy, I was stealing Trade Secrets in the guise of "Hey that's a cool setup. . . can I have a pic??" I am now going to hide in the deep dark recesses of my hidden laboratory and re-write all the laws of physics, and in one swell foop render all current "Cool Stuff" obsolete. . .just give me time. . . and at 6:30, I have to knock off and prepare my plans for taking over the world. . ..

Really, I only took about 10 -15 shots, and I've been told that the majority of them are not fit for a PG website. I'll see what I can do to make them "presentable" with some photo chop.

HELLZ YEA!!! I had a friggin blast! Everybody was really cool, laid back, absolutley no trouble with anyone! And all the good flying all the time was intense! I cant wait until next year!

Honestly i dont think there is any other event that stacks up to this awesome level! I wish we had two or three events like this a year in my area.

I've been doing some thinking. . . . .. I think too much. . .

WHY was the Atlanta Hucktoberfest SUCH a success???

There are a ton of reasons.

Chris Hinson worked his tail off to make things GOOD.

MadMax and Biff were on the scene, keeping the mic hot, the comments funny, and everyone informed.

The sound system never shut down during flying hours. . it really gave us something to fly to, and pumped the atmosphere a bit .. no boring rip rip rip, roar and putt putt putt. . but music, talking airplanes and fun fun fun all day long. It was impossible to be bored!!!

Everyone there knew what things were about. It was not about being stupid and dangerous. . it was about good flying, hucking, low passes, hovering close and in and low, 3D, 2,3,4 or 5 planes over the runway at the same time, callers/spotters who were looking out for their pilot, and people laughing and having a great itme instead of worrying about sponsors, politics, and Futaba vs JR.

Drama was GONE. . I can't recall a dramatic incident at all.

NO AMA!!!!!!!!!!! The event was not an AMA sanctioned event (so I was told). .just a get-together of friends, pilots, planes, fun, comradeship, good food, beer (but not when flying) and several late nights around the fire talking and laughing as good firiends.

You woke up and someone was flying. . you went to bed and someone was flying. . . . . .

BARBECUE!!!!!!! Nuff Said!!

People you have never met finally putting faces to nicknames, and finding out that the people are people after all. . . no matter how they seem to be on the forums.

And lastly . . (but certainly never least) Almost EVERY participant was a Flying Giant member!!! This event was done FG Style. . no BS. . no Games. . no Drama. . good friends, fellowship, help when you needed it, advice when you didn't, no jealousies or Ego problems, and everyone was there to have a good time and relax.

You know, I can't think of a more fun, satisfying, and enjoyable event I have EVER been to in this hobby.

The next Atlanta Huckfest cannot happen soon enough, IMO. (All you slackers who didn't come . .had better be making plans NOW for next year. . )

Thanks, Chris, Max, Biff, Robert, Mark, and everyone else involved. .. . . this was one of those "good times" I'll always cherish.

Kris.W,You nailed it on the head.Those are great words,how much did it cost to have that writen for you.I would like to thank everybody who is taking the time to post all these amazing pics,slides,and vids.Man if it was that packed for the first year,G.M.A might need a bigger parking lot.Breakstuff,i hear ya,I might need a twelve step program to get through the next year.
