But it would still be interesting to know the real reasons behind the decision not to go with Deans on it. It seems like the major advantage of a Power Expander is getting rid of the "bottleneck" at the battery connectors....
You don't need them (deans) for this set up, the regular plug will suffice from a current load. Look at it like this, it's another weight savings. (no deans)

Please explain..not that I dont believe you but I thought the connectors were the weakest link and thats why the Deans are desired.

for high amp draw servos you are correct.

But 50cc size planes don't require 9-14 8711 type servos.

You can use alot less that won't draw so much current. You can even use non digitals if you want.......imagine that.

Also don't for get that the sport plus has bat share so it will be drawing out of two bats at once. So you will be spitting the amp draw through two circuits when all is working right. I don't see a need for Deans on a 50-85cc.

This unit is not rated for 100cc planes.

50-85cc only.

For 100cc planes they have the regular Expanders with seperate regulators that accept Deans

There will also be a complete power system available for 100-150 cc planes by Xmas. I am running these units in my 100cc A/W 260 and my 3.0M Comp 260. These units will have 6 channels (8 channels total) of servo equalizers built in along with either a Super or Turbo Regulator. Plus it uses Deans plugs.
