Hi guys,
I am wondering if the 67" Fusion and the Saito 100 are a good combination. It has to have power to torque and to pull it out. I'm using 5% nitro and don't want to use more. Please advice! |

I would go with the Saito 125 if you havent bought an engine yet. With the 100, you are probably going to need to run 30% nitro to get the performance you want. It may climb out of a hover, but ever so slowly. My YS91AC had more power than my Saito 100 in a Funtana 90 that I have. The Saito 125 is a different animal though.

I agree with Tank. The Saito 100 would certainly work on the Fusion and give you vertical although not balistic. However you need to run at least 20% nitro with the Saito 100. I have one on my OMP 50" Ultimate and that's the perfect combo for that plane. About the same power as the OS 91 FX I think. Best combos for the Fusion are the OS 120AX, Saito 125, or YS 110 (my favorite).

Just to add some input about the Satio 100, I fly a Sig Hog Bipe with a 100 on it, 30% wildcat fuel and a APC16x4 prop. That combo will hover well and accelerate out with authority. I know you don't want to use anything more that 5 % so the 100 most likely won't perform like you want... just my 2 cents worth... ; )

I already have the saito 100. But I'm not going to buy a Fusion voor my Saito.
When I buy the Fusion I want to do it good. So with a YS110. So maybe it will be the Ultimate for my Saito. |

I'd agree that that is a better choice.

boys this sounds incestuous...... by the way, sorry I missed the party last week at your house mike. Heard you like the new cover job......might be too pretty to fly.....kinda like John's Castrol Cap.

The cap isn't too pretty to fly. It will be out next season. We're gonna make John fly IMAC with us! It's either the Cap, his Extra or his Ultimate. He has a thing for those funny little low wing planes (aka Snap 232's)
