As far as I know this site is supposed to reflect the positive experiences in the hobby. In the case of those threads, there was to much trashing. There are 2 sides to every story. You can contact me offline if you would like to hear them.

Heres the perspective from my point of view. I am in no way protecting 3W in any way, shape, or form. Steve (Plaster93) wrote his experience that he is having with 3W at this point and time. He voiced the facts he had, stated his opinion. All well and good. Then, guys decide to come in, vent their OPINIONS, tell people to purchase other brands and tell them not to do business with XYZ company. We see this all the time, it all goes down hill from there, and then we get dozens of PMs asking us to close the threads because 98% of the population doesnt want to read 73 pages of some guys barking about whos better than what, or better than this or that. There are plenty of other forums on the internet to do that, and if you thats your cup of tea, help yourself, but it doesnt happen here, and for 98% of the population here, they prefer it that way. As we stated, we always welcome facts and experiences. Once things go down the wrong path, its a complete waste of time. I would love to leave that thread open, but previous experience states that it will once again turn into a **** storm because some guys feel they cant let a story play out, they must interject their .02$ or their form of an opinion on what they think is better. This aggravates the other side, and then we all have to put up with the bickering over the next several pages. Instead of doing the classic moderation and telling people simmer down, I decided to nip it in the bud at the onset. Steve (Plaster93) was 100% ok with it. This isn't romper room, we are all adults. If we the threads could stay on an adult path, it would stay open. Unfortunately, like the classic Ford vs Chevy argument, both sides will never see eye to eye and a **** storm will always ensue. Protecting 3W, no, protecting what our site is all about, and minimizing the aggravation to the 98% of members that dont want to read through pages of mindless bickering, yes. If you have any other questions, rather than creating a post directed at trying to start yet another thread of countless bickering, do as I asked in the other thread and PM me directly. Thanks for understanding.

3-W verses DA is like trying to get a chevy man to buy a ford and a ford man to buy a chevy. For some reason its justt not going to happen. Fly what you like and enjoy the hobby. Just my .02 worth.

You miss my point. You refer to not ewveryone want to read this, well then dont no one makes you click on a link. Point is I am not a fan of any 3W vendors in the US. I have gotton RAW DEALS from both. AI atleast refunded me after 10 weeks.... YA 10 weeks. $5000 on a yak gone bad. SO I have an EXPERIENCE to share, and it has nothing to do with ENGINES...... It has to do with CUSTOMER SERVICE....

I was called on Monday to discuss what I wanted done, and what was wrong.
I oked the repair and the motor was back in my hands on Thursday (mind you all the shipping back and forth was 2 days each way)

The motor came back in very nice shape, all the replaced parts were in a bag showing that he indeed did change the parts out. and the cost of the repair was WAY less than I expected.

I own several DA's and the service is always amazing, but My 3W I really like as well, and I believe Gerhardt does a great job and is very quick!

So please keep that in mind.

Everyone has personal experiences with different people!

Sleepy,

You're dead on about Gerhardt. I bought a plane earlier this year for a friend through Gerhardt. The plane was heavily damaged. Gerhardt tried to arrange a replacement, but my buddy grew impatient when Germany took longer than originally promised. Gerhardt immediately sent a complete refund and said no hard feelings. He was clear and concise in the way he dealt with me.

If everyone was able to tell their stories about a company without the post being closed i think it would only help CUSTOMER SERVICE.. Any of the company`s can come in and tell their side of the story at anytime ...

I think that they should be allowed to keep the thread.. If the posts are just slamming (other than actual exp or..) then the post should be removed. I agree that the vender should be free to come in and tell their side. I've been told many times also, if you don't like the post and the replies then your free NOT to click on it...

Come to think of it, I don't believe I have ever had a raw deal from any of the vendors in the RC industry. That has to say something about the majority of them.

I myself have had great customer service from about every company I have dealt with in the hobby. In fact I cant say that I have heard anything trammatic happening to any of my friends that have been around as long as I have. And yes I have dealt with all of them being I have flown all my life. You hear of these terrible horror stories of customer service and not getting a refund for a bad product so on and so forth... it makes me wonder if the situation was dealt with properly by the customer in the first place to recieve such a problem..
