Default Smartfly power expander sport plus

So what is the latest in regards to running two digital servos per aileron with this system? ( SmartFly power expander sport plus)

One hitec mini for throttle
One 5645 throttle
two 5645 per aileron
single 5955 per elevator
single 5955 for rudder

33% edge 540

Well I'm setting one up in a YAK. All surfaces have got HT 5955TG on them and throttle is a Multiplex Royal Digital servo.

Will let you know how the power works out. The power connectors are just normal JR/Futaba plugs.

I've got this system in my new AW Extra 260. All surfaces are HT5955's with a Hi Speed Digital on the throttle and a standard on the choke. I also have a TME smoke system installed and everthing goes through the Smart-Fly system. I have a JR 9303 2.4 system installed, so power to the receiver was a concern. I'm running two Li-ion 2600 packs with standard plugs. All this being said, I placed the Spektrum flight log onto the plane yesterday after a full flight (while the servos were good and hot) and stalled all the servos. The power to the receiver never moved from 5.0 volts. The power to the servos stays at 5.99 volts without wavering. I'm totally sold on the system. It does exactly what it advertises.

I did the testing on this unit on an Aeroworks 35% 260 with 8 8711 servos, with equalizers on the aileron and rudder servos. The system worked great.

How about 3 5955s in each wing
2 5955s on each elevator half
and 4 on the rudder
No problem, also running the sustem at 7.4volts no problwm it still only gives the reciever 5volts and 7.4 to the 5955s.

Wow , that sounds great. I like the idea that they throw the kill switch in with the deal.

So just to clarify, Can I use two standard JR switches with this board. I would assume that I would hook the battery like normal to the one switch lead. The other lead would then be plugged into the battery port on the board. I would then just charge through my switch from the out side of the plane.

That is correct on the switches. I actually got to pick Robert Ritchey's (President) brain this weekend. The sport plus uses standard battery connectors. I was surprised at how light it was a well. Cool system and you get dual batts and a optical kill switch!! I am sold... I will be using A123 cells on mine.

The one that Airwild has is the wrong one. They have the power system sport plus

The one we are talking about here is the power expander sport plus. Two differant offerings.

I am getting the Smart-fly Power Expander Sport Plus. I want to use Lipo 2S1P batteries. Do I really need to put a regulator in front of this?

Yes, Or you can use the "Power System Sport Plus" that has a regulator built in.
