Hey Bret...
I got one of these during a giveaway that Castle Creations did at NEAT fair this year. I've put it in my Funtana 90 to replace the NiMH Receiver pack that I had in there. My Funtana has some serious overkill servos in it... Five Hitec 5955's... Hey... I needed new servos for it, and they were on sale. ![]() I'm powering the Funtana on 10S lipos... I have a 4S and a 6S in the plane in series. The CastleBec taps off the 4S pack. The CastleBEC is set for 6V. Anyways... last weekend it worked great... 5 Flights of Bevel to bevel 3D, and no problems from the Castle BEC. The best part is, I now only have one battery pack to charge to fly the plane . Now I'm trying to figure out why I'm not going 2cell lipo with this regulator in my 50cc for next season.Cheers! Tom |

VERY IMPORTANT
If you are running a BEC with a Spektrum Rcvr read this; http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=751472 I am very happy with my CC BEC that I picked up at NEAT, but be aware of the necessary workaround for Spektrum |

Hey Tommy, good hearing from you bro. Yeah I love these little BEC's, I have 3 of them now.
dpoles, good catch on the Spektrum thing. I still fly 72 MHz so this was something I never thought of. Thanks for posting that information. |

I have used a Castle Bec with my AR 9000 all summer now on my 50cc with no problems. Just another high-five for the CCBec.

Can this BEC be used also to power the Rx in a regular glow or gas plane? Say, running down the voltage to 6V from a 11.1V Lipo? I don't see why not!

I have one my AJ slick with a 2 cell lipo to the Spectrum Receiver and a CC HV 45
2 digital servos 2 85mg Wow really nice insurance plan just in case you drain your battery to still have power to land the plane. fred |
