Is the lower half of the cowl a fixed piece on the 28%?Looks Great.....I know my buddy Fernando is stalking this thread,he wants one BAD.those pics should do the trick. He is gunna go with the Evolution 58,seems they have worked out the bearing and tuning bugs.Is that a DA 85 manuel in the pic?I see they finally went with a tube instead of spars....major plus.

Chill out!#1 i spend a load of money on this hobby, nobody has given me a penny for anything. You had just said that you think he should go with the DA85 because you where unhappy with the performance of your plane with a Brison 52.This hole thread is about a DA or a possable Evolution so speaking highly of a good product(desert aircraft) is OK.Now if you had a DA50 in your plane and where unhappy with its performance then you could go ahead and tell somebody to be a 3000.00 doller lab rat.The man is looking for INPUT not you and i going rounds.......Next time you could PM me instead, unless you are a Jerry Springer fan......I am into his new project and i am sure i will learn something from it,If my input was not welcome i am sorry.........

You know i was leaning to this same kind of rational and maybe some are way to happy with their da engines with out enough experiments with others but I have had my experience now with many engines and despite me not wanting the da to be the better motor just because i wanted to be diff i had to come to the conclusion that with my experience that the da50 is the best motor ( given you want power to weight and a reliable motor/ if you dont care about best power to weight {ie war bird or some thing else } then a diff motor could be better for that situation).

I also evaluated the 58cc engines to current 80cc engines and the weight of the curent 80cc engines are about the same as the 58cc or simm size engines: that the 80cc sized engines are the next thing to get. Also for me the da85 is going to be the motor i go with again with my exp with engines.

So in conclusion If your going to get a 58cc evolution or a 3w anything near50cc then you should just get an 80cc class engine thats about 4.2 pounds.

well i agree if your gonna put a 4.5 lb engine in any way, the da 85 might as well be the one, i heard the vibration levels are low with the da 85, im gonna try and see if it will fit, if it does then thats what i will put in it, if not the 3w 55 compition would be my next choice. you know what, i wish they made plastic replicas of the engine so you can see if will fit befor you buy the motor , i woud pay 5 or 10 bucks to make shure the engine fit befor i spent big $ to find out i cant use the engine , now thats an idea all engine companys should do . how bout guys??

hey voodoo the cowle and the fuse are all one piece, yu put the motor on the motor box and then install the whole assembly, tell your friend to stay tuned because if i can fit the da 85 in, im gonna post a build thread, it should happen within a month or two , he will not be disappointed with any krill airplane, i love them and, you can make the grossly over weight and the will still fly light,

there packaging has gotten alot better and they are starting to have stock in the u.s. as well.

Very Cool how they did that motor mount and cowl,is the right thrust built in both?I have owned a few planes CZ in the past and it was tuff, now with Phil from Skyline in town it makes it much faster. It would be nice if they made the 33 and 39% with a wing tube.Did you talk to Ivo Krill about doing the 85?Killer Tattoo Scheme on the 39%.

i spoke with plillip , he says im nutz, he suggested the mvvs 58, which is perfect but i have been hearing tons of bad problems with that motor, so i dont know what to do. i really dont think the 85 will fit, anybody own the 3w 55 compition motor?

King76,
I'm not sure what are you trying to achieve, but I can tell you that DA 85 will "destroy" your plane. It will shake it apart. If you don't think DA 50 is enough, 3W 55 is very popular engine for this plane in Europe.

i agree , i am leaning that way but a few people have posted that even the 3 w55cs will not be enough to pull this plane out of a hover, do you know what these planes weigh with a 3 w 55?
