Just got finished mounting the landing gear and in the process of epoxy the wood plates on the wheel pants. Getting ready to drill the holes for the wheel pant hole in the bottom of the legs.

takes me back to my build,I even glued the tank tray in before I recieved the cans and the rest of the radio gear.
Sounds like you are well on your way. on the sx I moved the two landing gear holes in the flat part of the legs out toward the inside edge about 3 mm to get the laegs set just right and not by the instructions when you put the landing gear cuffs on make sure you have the hole big enough and centered just right, I put mine on before I had it together and the total wieght of the plane made my center not center anymore, just a sugestion |

Allrighty folks
The 3m Extra 260 has been ordered, just waiting on the banks to get the ok to start building the plane and get it to me in 8 to 10 weeks, rep seems to think it will take 9 to 11 weeks, kinda late for a christmas present but it will give me time to have the rest of the hardware in. Ordered the DA-150 today it should be here by tues or wed. along with a 32X10 cf prop. I will be putting all Futaba's 9156's all the way around, may go with a SWB 4 servo servo tray. I will post the things I get for the plane here, but when I start on it in Feb., I will start a build thread on the 122inch monster...........(I have a hard enough time getting the 2.6 into the hobby room , Wonder if this plane will even fit?????????, guess we'll know in feb. hobby room is 9ft x 10ft., the kicker is I have two turns really close together to get it in the room) |

I think you should know that the wingspan for the 260 is only 118". Also, If you want, now is the time to get stripes or big squares added to the bottom of your wings. And, I think you made the right choice, I love my 260.

Yeah the 260s wingspan isnt that big for a 40%. But hey its an incredible precision plane. You diffinetly should do something to the bottom of your wings. I will have to do it to mine with graphix. I will be getting mine around the same time as you, its going to be awsome. You made the right choice.
