I went with putting two control horns on elevator and ailerons with turnbuckles and ball links on same.
takes some of the slack out if you were to use the clevises they provide.
I bought them from Don's Hobby Shop, he helped me out alot during the radio and battery setup.
had some interference problems in first month.if you have any Questions on it feel free to ask, I took what I learned building the first one and put it in the 2nd 1. I also had to move the slot for the tank tray up one inch, had the tank at an angle

New pics and progress, plus the Power Box Royal Package showed up today and the
JR 8611a's are in, will get the servo's Tuesday I guess. Got the landing gear complete and the cowling is getting worked on right now, I will epoxy blind nuts next and then it the canopy. Put the wings on for a photo. Been doing a lot of running around for special epoxy the last few days, Will hit it hard all day Saturday and try to get a lot done. Also picked up a Sullivan Smoke System today.

I used regular epoxy to fill in corners then used resin for the glass
looks like this bird will fly before you know it

I've Looked at several different Compy ARF's at many different Fly-ins. Some seams are less noticeable than others...I personally think if you use the Tape supplied with the kits...it would actually make the seam stick out like a sore thumb!

Congrats on your plane. I put one of these together early summer for a back up. I would suggest putting a swb offset behind the engine, it will help on the up lines.

OK...I give.........HELP!!!!!!
I'm going to use SWB servo arms, but I want to use a heavy duty steel clevis, If I use a ball joint I will have to end up moving the servo out or in. If any body has in sights on this I'm all ears. Also latest on the build...well I messed up the canopy.....stayed up to late working I guess....Ordered a new one, hope it isnt a back order like the tail wheel........went to Dallas and got one yesterday. What to do about controll surfaces though ?

I bought the phenolic sheet and put two control horns on the moving surfaces,
I did not have to move the servos, build the servo tray for the ailerons and adjust the line when you glue in the servo mount and I think the space between the control horns is 5mm. maybe six and go with turnbuckles, sure helps on exact adjustment.
I know what you mean on the canopy, I did two but was barely able to save the second.
I just don't kow about drilling a bigger hole in the single horn to accomadate the clevis pin

Here are a couple of options. I know you can buy just the control clevis but not sure where.
