I totally agree, Yes this is good!

So how many did it take to win the ironman in 07? I'm thinking maybe 6 or something like that?
I can see 10 that I would like to make , but it would kill me in gas cost .
I'm hoping the gas prices stay down reasonable so I can make a run at it this year.

Shaun,
It take a lot of desire, flying and traveling. I logged somewhere around 6000 miles last year and never thought I would do that. I did, however, travel with Ryan and Phil for all but one contest. I went to Prattsville, Alabama by myself because I wanted it pretty bad and my mentor says you got to go to a bunch. I have also made the Joe Nall for two years and miss the Arkansas contest. Not sure yet what I will do there, but Joe Nall is a real hoot for me. Not all contests are close. Phil and I went to Abilene and Sherman. Those are a pretty good ways and the Alabama also. Go to the one that you can go to. That is all you can do. Best of good flying to you in the 2008 season.

That is why Little Rock was moved to a new date.

I will try my best.

the plus of having several contests is that there are more to choose from closer without spending too much in gas. the bad thing is the contests may have an overall lower attendance average. ( more wood to share).

The gas prices are going to kill a lot of people - you think a little Yugo would pull a 14ft trailer ??

6000 mile !!!Whew......... That's a lot of time on the road! I too would like to make a big contest like Joe Nall.
I know I'll have to drive a little more then I want to. But I think it will be rewarding to do so. I'll probably ride with Dan or Scott to some of them. That is if they stop smoking in the car .
