Jakub, I use the MTW 75 tuned pipe with the rigid 25mm drop header from Desert Aircraft. This works very well for 3D. I turn a Vess 23A at 7,450 rpm. The KS 1060 tuned pipe is good, also and the ES Composites carbon fiber tuned pipe is excellent as well.

If you don't want to go with the tuned pipe setup, the stock DA 50 muffler works well, but turns about 400 to 500 rpm less.

I used a DA50 with a cheap pitts style muffler on a wooden-24/8 and turned the head pink doing too much prophanging.(Not enough power i guess) I think the da muffler gives better performance than the pitts style i used? Get a carbon cannister for it is probs the best choice on a 23/8

That 24x8 is too much prop for a DA on standard pitts muffler. However if you didn't have the pie plate in that would have helped get you pink too. When working it that hard you need to have the best cooling you can get.

Too right- I just fell in love with the feel of the 88" on a 24/8. It seemed so much easier to fly then with a 23/8 but im a bit of a rookie Live n learn
