Two 2300 A123's will power this beast just fine with the power box.

A fork tail ultimate, like the P38

however, two A123 2300mah is ok..very good.

And what abaut the servo extension; (specially for the top wing servo and elev servo) a 20awg custom buildt extension is sufficent? or we need abigger extensions to avoid power less in the servo?

newly thanks

I still think-- a rx in the rear direct to empennage servos/rx and two 18-20ga power leads back there -is the answer -on a BIG model.

5.4 amps per servo.(8711)

how many flights do you want to get before recharge or replacement ?

how may fight? more or less 3 or 4 flight

And if whith the 123 charger i can recharge the battery in 15 minutes, I can charge both battery pack in only 30 min...no bad.

This is a good results: give the correct power at 8 monster (+5A current draw) servo whith "only" 2X 2300 battery pack.

Light (two 2300 is lighter than another 5200 mah li ion, or lipo)
reilable (1000 cicles, more safety during recharge)
Easy to use (no reg, and the charge is like a dewalt drill battery pack)
not too expensive (55$ each)

well done 123...

thanks flyers

sure - lets take a 2.4 JRsetup-
the rx combos weigh 1/2 ounce-- so buy four of em
one for the tail group
one for the left wing
one for the right wing
one for the whateverelses.
wire servos directly to each rx group
place a pair of A123 packs whereever -for balance- add a GOOD switch setup.
buy some 20 ga wire and run pairs to each group.
Too expensive?
Compare to setups with the super power distributing devices -I saw one (1) for $650 bucks. American munney-that alone will fetch a handfull of rx
This setup may sound silly but I betcha it would be a more dependable -easier to troubleshoot setup than any of those other devices . each section of the plane can be setup /checked on it's own. If I were to ever (and there is no chance) buildone of those xxx hundred lb "La Ferte" models -this is exactly how I would treat it. and maybe if I were doing a 50 lb 50% pattern bird /scale bird - same thing.
No gee whiz devices to guess "I wunner what that thingy does?- woops! durn things HOT!"-- just power leads and of the shelf servos and rx
what could be easier?

Why does no one seem to be using the Dean's switch, instead of other on-off switchs? I am using them on a 33% Suhkoi for ignition and for RX, this just seems to be one less thing to fail.
