the wing span is 64 inches and the length is 70 inches, i think spinner to tail. this means one thing i have to get more servos. it has hitec 645 mg's in it,
and i will have to put better servos in it than that. thoses are way to slow for me. anyone want 6 of them

great trade! I have a H9 P-47 that I am looking to sell/trade too.
... or maybe I'll just replace the ZDZ40 that is in it now with a DA-50.

Before you go swapping out the servos you mighttry flying it the way it is once or twice.
Biplanes can have an extremely fast roll rate if the aileron throw is too great. The slower servos might just help you in that department, atleast until you get used to the way the plane flies. If the guy you bought itfrom is willing, you might also let him get it in theair and hand you the transmitter, at least for the first minute. I hate getting surprised by the setup on a new plane on the first flight. But you definitely got the best flying plane out of that group in the photo. Also, on the first landing remember to keep some throttle on until you are close to touch down. Biplanes have a lot of drag and will slow down very quickly. Any questions call me. thanks for the info tom. i have flown ultimates before and really like them. i do not like hitec 645 servos and all of them have a lot of slop in the gear train. (that is built in) i want to order a new cowl for it and a new canopy as this one must have 100 little screw in the canopy,
i dont know why guys do this. and i have a wraparound muffler to go on it, so the cowl dosent have to be all chopped up. it must look as good as i know they fly. everything has so much slop in it i cant stand it, but i will fly it first just to see. i haven had a chance to go through it yet. and i wont fly it until i do, must make shure its air worthy. so you will be getting a order from me. for this plane . the switches look like they were drug out of the bottom of a lake so they gotta go. and 1 was mounted vertical. who in the world would do this?? a little hard landing and the switch turns its self off, you got a mess on your hands.

i learned a lesson about switchs a few years ago when we had a paint ball drone shoot.. the drone had a flip switch like the transmitter switches.. and a paint ball hit the plane an inch from the switch... dispite a few holes in the foam the plane was fine , it that ball just grazed the switch, it would be cooler faom... lession here is always have the on settign toward the tail haha.

People do the darnedest things. You look at what they did and have to wonder what they were thinking.
