ok i have a question, please dont guess. iam trying to figure out exactly what the difference is between single conversion and dual conversion. and will dual work with single and visa versa
i know jr uses both and most likely so does all the others. and both are on 72 mhz, so whats up with dat. little help so i dont have to go look it up

No, dual conversion does not mean low and hi band.
Dual conversion means that the received signal is converted to an intermediate frequency internally, and then again to the final internal signal. I'm not a radio guy, but my description is close if not perfect. A single conversion does not use the intermediate frequency conversion step. The net result is said to be dual conversion receivers are more noise immune than single. But there must be some reason why JR would also have single conversion receivers (I said I'm not a radio engineer) or they would not exist. HItecs and Futabas are pretty much all dual conversion, I'm not sure why JR makes both types but I no longer care, I use 2.4. TF |

thanks tom and dan no. tom you are right on the money. and thanks dan no for the link. so yes you can use a single conversion receiver or a duel conversion as they will produce the same effect. meaning it works.
its nice to see that at least jr gives you the option
