Default Hello fron southern ohio

Hello, I live in southern Ohio and belong to the Jackson R/C Aces. Every year in August our club and 2 clubs from West Virginia sponsor a contest at the Bob Evans farm in Rio Grande, Ohio. That is the farm of down on the farm of the restaurant chain called Bob Evans. I am currently looking for a picture of a full scal Cub that the navy used as a trainer years ago. The Cub in naval terms is called a NE-1. Any one know of a picture or site let me know, thanks Don Lewis.

Don,,this month's cover of Sport Aviation (full scale) A shot of exactly what you're after. These guys built it from scratch. Good details of the build and a bunch of photos. Gray, light blue, dark blue. Pretty. Hope that helps. Biff

Thanks for the reply. I seen that cover. I am a member of the EAA. The Cub I am looking for has a red band around the back of the fuse and stars on top of the wing. I seen the model on planes over delaware, The navy took regular cubs and put the military markings on them and I think they called them "Grasshoppers. I am waiting on a model tech 1/3 scale cub to arrive and just wanted to have something a little different and to use it in some contests. Thanks Don Lewis.

Hey Don,

I haven't seen that exact scheme, though one that was very close just sold at a LHS near me. It was a R/C model so that wouldn't do you any good for documentation, which is what it sounds like you need the pic for.

Good luck in your search, I'll do a little searching myself, if I find anything I'll let you know.

Welcome to the Giants!
