How to Kill you FOAMY
We just incorporated a rule between the foamy flyers at our club, that if you are going to retire your foamy because it's just too beat up beyond airworthiness, have one final competition with some of your fellow fliers using this same airplane.
Today we had Tim Attaway foamy that had a broken wing tip, lots of glue, and green tape all over it to hold some of the flying surfaces together. There were 4 of us there, and the competition was to use this airplane until it can no longer fly. The tasks were as follows: Lowest inverted pass, lowest knife edge pass, tip the bottle over with your tail within 15 seconds, and lowest inverted blender. If you crash you disqualify yourself from that round. As you can imagine the "Lowest Blender" pretty much killed the airplane during the first try, but since we didn't know that the plane had lost down elevator, the second guy up, (1bwana1) went to push on the elevator durring his attempt, and the plane just went straight into the ground at full throttle. This was definitely the most fun I've had with a Foamy in a long time. |

We usually all get together and find a common day we can fly and have Foamy Combat. The last one was called Smash down ver.5.04273 and we all had a blast, 15 foamies in a furrball is a wondrous sight.

While at a heli funfly in Jacksonville, we strapped glowsticks to our foamies to fly at night.
then strated shooting at them with paintball guns. much destruction, much fun! |

That sounds like fun. We tried doing something similar out here at one of our fun flys, but the board of directors didn't allow it.
