Default Another YAK quest, 30 or 33%?????????

Ok, I am pretty set on getting the sd yak. They look trick, and sound like a solid flyer. 30 or 33%?????I am @ 5000 ft and I want one plane!. I would like to Imac in the beginer some day, but like to do 3d too. I do not like a twitchy intense plane! It looks like a 33%DA85 would have a better power to weght ratio than the 30%DA50. I have serveral bigger nitros, so I am not a total goon on assembly. So would the 30% or 33% be a better choice for me?????THANKS 871

871,
I have the SD 33% Yak with a 3W 80Xi. Killer set-up. Pulls like you wouldn't believe. Motor is still being broke in. My buddy Watso is flying the 30% with a 3W 60. Again killer set-up. With the right combo either plane is a rock solid flyer. BTW we fly at 3200 ASL

I have the SD 33% with a ZDZ 80 for power. No complaints about being short on power, not a rocket ship but more than enough power to pull out of a hover with authority. I would recommened two rudder servos though. I had Hitec 5955 hooked up and it was not enough so i hooked up two. WOW what a difference, the rudder is BIG !!!!!!! You can look on FG i started a thread about it. I have pics to if interested on what i did.

Here they are if you need more or better ones let me know. It is worth doing. You will have to cut the tray out a little, Square stock, (2)1-1/2 Hanger 9 titanium links,(4) Du-Bro ball ends, another Hitec 5955, plenty of power.
