Hello All,
I bought an Avro 90 and I am collecting all that I need. I will use mine to train for FAI F3C. What a Kit/Heli Design!!! Great Manual - Nothing to Upgrade! I did receive a new Head Block from Blitz at no cost and it was a surprise. Check out the Blitz Website: www.blitz-helicopters.com/ And Motion Unlimited - the USA Importer: http://motionunlimitedusa.com/ I will use: YS91ST4 3 JR DS8311 servos for collective/cyclic 1 DS8900G servo for Tail Rotor 1 DS8417 for Throttle Curtis Youngblood Solid G Gyro Curtis Youngblood ATG Throttle Governer Curtis Youngblood Muscle Pipe Curtis Youngblood 105mm Radix Tail Blades Curtis Youngblood FAI Main Blades when they become available A123 Receiver Batteries with my own designed voltage regulator/distribution system Multiplex MC4000 Radio and Airtronics new 10 channel 2.4GHz when available I have a long way to go but I am starting out with a top machine so I have nothing to blame but my own skills and how I develop them. My other choice would have been the Vibe 90 set up for FAI or the MA FAI Tempest. The Avro 90 is an expensive machine but there is nothing that needs to be upgraded! Even a Century Predator cost $900 these days and I am sure I would be trying to upgrade it, Everything thing I am using is well above average so I can concentrate on just flying, flying, ........... flying! Hey AirBoss/OC,
You won't be disappointed if you get an Avro 90! The design and quality are top rate in my book. The Gyro Mounting System is unlike anything seen in anyother helicopter. Servo Arm Supports are supplied for both JR and Futaba servos. For the price you expect top workmanship - design - support, and you get all of this. The Manual is very well done and of very good quality. The Avro 90 is Very Tunable for any style of flying, 3D to FAI F3C - And the Manual and the Separate Avro 90 Set Up Guide explains very well how to setup to the style of flying you want. Good Luck, Cherokee Jim Mahoney |
