Have you checked the CG recently to see how the balance is coming out?

I think you are mistaken. I am using 2500 mah nm hydride 4 cell pack. 4.8v. DA said I should get 5-6 flights easy with that pack. I am using a Smart-Fly kill switch. No other switch or regulator, eliminate two potential failure points. I have a Duralite 2900 2-cell lipo with a Duralite regulator that I can use. I can tell you that betweeen the two the NMHydride pack is aoubt the same weight or lighter. I do not have scale, but I can tell. My point for this system is to keep it simple and reliable. This will be the first Giant scale that I am setting up this way. AS for Fromeco, you can have it. I have seen their regulators go bad twice in the same plane (Voodoo's 35% Krill Katana), and He is lucky that it is still around.

I will monitor this set-up very carefully with every flight, but I believe that this will work wonderfully!

Thanks for your input Bodyworks!
Nah, I don't think I was mistaken. I am using a 1400 4 cell nimh on my ignition and get the easy 5-6 flights. I am of the same philosophy as you on ignition, in terms of no regs and no switch, but I am saying that you can get away with half the capacity that you currently have on the ignition and be that much lighter. No biggie, though, you have plenty of wing area and should have plenty of power, anyway.

The pipes are lighter than cans, by a long shot. And power? expect 6700 RPM with a 27 or 28X10 mejzlik!
Flyin Hawaiian, I'll save you the wasted tank of fuel. I fly 12 minutes of IMAC on my piped 100 and come down with almost a half-tank left. The upper classes of IMAC burn more fuel than low, slow 3D will...

I gave it quick check when it was together, so far right on target. Batteries will end up right behind the Wing Tube.

I'm with bodywerks - You don't need more than a 1400mah on ignition, you just HAVE to ensure that you are using high discharge capable nimh i.e. low impedence or internal resistance. Also the carbon pipes are lighter and better if money is no object. I only went with cans as I found a good used set cheap and haven't seen adds for used carbon pipes they're too good to sell.

Flyin Hawaiian - I can't get over how much elevator throw you had on the 88" yak. What is the expo and what servo arm did you use? What servo arm will you use on the 110"?

Looks great! That cowl is HUGE! I was thinking about using some metal screening painted black in my cowl to vill in the hole in the louver plate.. you think it would restrict the airflow too much?

Believe it or not, I am using the same 1.5" SWB servo arm as on the 88". Same control arms, same throw, just bigger!

Doc, I am not sure if a screen material will hinder flow or not, but i am not goingt to chance it. However, I was thinking about adding some CF sticks across the hole to follow the radiused line pattern around the baffle. But my main goal is functionality.

Rennie, are you running 1 rudder servo or 2? What brand and #? Pull-pull up front, or push pull in the tail?

Rennie,
The plane looks awesome, I can't wait to get mine!!! Looks like I'm gonna be heading to Florida for a wedding the same week as the FX3D Fly In. I'll bring my 88" Extra and 110" Yak down for it, we'll have a warm up for the Nall.

two Hitec HS 5955TG Digital servos. Should be enough, don't you think?
