I really like to be able to see my receiver easily and be able to make sure that everything is working well. On my 88" Extra I just put the depron under the pilot and panel and left the rest open.

So. I'm looking at purchasing a 110 yak. I'm trying to figure out how i want to set it up. I'm hoping for some ideas on my planned setup.
Optima 7 rx Ailerons Y'd to channel 1 and 5 Elevators on 6 and 7 Rudder on 4 Throttle on 3 Smartfly Ignition kill on 2 2, 2cell lipo Y'd on throttle and Ignition kill Does this sound like a good way to go? This is the most simple setup i could think of. |

I am not familiar with the optima 7. I have the AR9100 but wired similar to your suggestion, but I never run a optic kill switch.

Phil,
I have used the old hitec stand alone unit. I do t remember the name but it was a little difficult to get used to. The two new ones hitec came out with are great. I got mine before the one you can use without a computer came out. Either way, I think they are a must for setting a plane up properly

can some one help with my elevator set up. i have the hitec 7955tg with the hp-20 programmer. im running two recievers, each elevator on ch2 on each receiver. i was able to match center and both end point adjustments perfectly. i used a 12 inch carbon rod taped on the surface. when moving the elevator slowly or a mild speed they match all the way up and down, but when i move the sticks quickly the right elevator lags behind about .25 sec. i cant figure this one out. control rods are the exact same length. is it a bad servo?

Jmoesday, geeez (2) 5600mah lions....I only run (2) 2100 lipos and fly all day with those. You might be able to fly all summer and not have to charge

Guess that's right. And it looks pretty good like it is. Think I'll stick my engine kill light up there somewhere. What's the general thought on props for this plane, 27/10, 28/10?. The 27/10 that I used on my Chapman Cap 580 looks small on this plane.

Here are a few shots of the Yak, and one of the 85cc Sukhoi we just maidened last week. On the yak pilot I put 3 small pcs of light ply on the inside of the base, secured with CA. then 3 more on the bottom under the Depron, so in effect I have the Depron and the plastic pilot base sandwiched between 2 pcs of light ply and secured with small nuts & bolts. On the instrument panel I have part of a light weight wooden ruler running the length and glued in with CA. Then on the bottom under the Depron I have more of the thin ply to form another sandwich. I've also included one shot of the birds nest of wires inside the Yak fuse just for fun :-)
