Just use a 1,5mm wire in place of the pins of hinges and you can dissasemble the rudder , copy one of the supplied horns in Fiberglass pcb board and use quick links .
I have this system in most of my planes as I only have a little Cordoba Vario.

Cheers.

The Extreme Flight 110" Yak 54 will be available in the red/white/black silver, and original blue/white/red/yellow and yellow & black, ................tork roll out the back...................I'm talkin bout the YAK! The Extreme Flight YAK!

Okay, so much for the commercial break . I got some new props today and a 5" TT Spinner. Mejhlik 29-10 and a very nice VESS 29B from Robert. This VESS prop is not yet available, so I will do extensive research and testing..(I will Huck the @@$%! out of it) and hope to do IMAC with it as well. Chris H. sent me a Pilot X and dash panel too, so that should complete the IMAC package, I just have to do an IMAC head check! Extensive practice this week!

PS, can you tell I had a rough day at work........

Here is a video I threw together just so I can plug FX3D in the ending credits. Footage includes the 110" & 88" Extreme Flight Yak 54. Also in the video is the Hawaiian Yak Dance (with clothes on) in the middle of the runway! My wife shot most of the footage.

Thanks Rennie. The standard mvvs cans are 70mm seems like i better get the old shoe-horn out to squeeze em through the landing gear plate. I had to raise the top of the cannister box on the 88" to allow the chunky mvvs can' to pass the landing gear plate, the other option i guess is carbon canns

I like the Hawaian dance of the Yak . Nice flying Rennie.
Will need to develop a Begian version of the Yak/Hawaian dance ...

One more measurement please please : from front of wheels to hinge line of rudder.
84.5'' is just too big for my car. I am considering removable rudder.

Nice flying Rennie! My guess is that you will pick up on IMAC quickly!
What's your secret with getting your wife to go with you? My better 1/2 says that she is "allergic" to the flying field! LOL

All are talking about more than 100cc (106,112,116) but what about less like DA85 or even better with a 3W85xi CS ?

My first question is about the CG, does the tail heavy on this airplane ?

I suppose a 28*10 arround 5600-6000rpm should be enough for a 27-28lbs airplane... I didnt find a really good review of a DA85 or a 85XICS.

Chris is supossed to be testing one with a Da 85, maybe he can chime in. I think is doable but strange things need to be done for sure.

Cheers.

Nice pictures

Plane looks awesome, the red lettering looks cool on the yellow.
Can't wait for Chris to release the 110'' yak'' ''
Looking forward to another awesome year with the Flying Giants.
Good Luck in 2008 IMAC.

Chris is doing a 110" with a DA85 and tuned pipe. This should a na awsome set-up. My 110" Yak came in at 29 LBs. But Since I just added a pilot and dash panel, Mehjlik 28-10 CF Prop, and 5" TT alum spinner, I am sure it approaching 30 LBs. With a DA85, you will loose almost 2 lbs alone, plus use JR8711 servo on rudder, Minimize power supply and electronics............you could very weel have a near 40% aircraft weighing in at only 25-27 lbs, which the DA 85 should handle very nicely. My only concern is that with over 2200 sq inches of wing area, it will fly like a kite! 3D should be stellar, IMAC would be a challenge on a windy day. WE shall have to wait and see.

Thanks everybody for the kind words. I hope I can get some practice in today and tomorrow. Weather looks kinda threatening.

By the way guys, Chris Hinson sent me a Pilot X pilot bust and a dash panel. The quality is very nice and light weight. My digital scale is not working so I couldn't weight it, but looks very good all put together. I willpost some pics later tonight.

Chris sent me a Pilot X and dash panel, which is available from Extreme Flight RC. The pilot and dash panel is required in the IMAC Class Sportsman Class, its a 1 point deduction if you don't. The pilot bust and Dash panel really tops out this beautiful machine.
