27 lbs would be insane. Thats what my 260 weighs and is nicely powered at that weight!!!

Thanks for the info!
Cracky, As far as I can tell there is no servo bay in the tail.

Rennie - How come you are running a power box? Is it necessary? What would happen if you had the exact same set up but did not use the power box?

I already had it on hand with the 4000 mah redundant batts. I know its alot of power, but I think its perfect for this airplane, Double redundant power, RFI filters, voltage match for long servo leads (110" EF Yak has 54" long elevator servo extensions!) and you can't beat the reliability. Plus I can fly for a year on a single charge! Actually I will change to the smaller 2900 mah redund. batts to save about a few oz. and still have plenty of power.

Made a little progress with stabs and will start the wings tomorrow. Waiting on parts to finish the fuse. Will post more pics tomorrow!

No 88" but had the 68" and 87".

I am an IMACer not a Hucker so changing CG during a flight IS an issue for me.

If I go with a DA 85 and Pitts muffler then I can put tank in the tunnel and have it over CG.

When you fly a YAK, you've got the Edge and you don't need anything Extra!

Rennie,

I see by your Rx that you have a JR 9303 2.4Ghz radio, me to. I just made the switch from a Futaba 9Z WC2. Man the 9303 is WAY easier to program.

Yakov, I love the JR 9303. I have had two 72mhz versions and now the 2.4G version. It was easy to transfer info from one Radio to the other, programmaing is very easy, and with the JR 9 channel 2.4G receiver, you get full 2048 resolution. Its is almost like you are directly connected to the airplane. I noticed that right off. Especially when I was doing rolling harrier circles, they were really tight circles even though I was trying to do a large radius circle. Thats when I realized that there was more of a lag time w/ the 72mhz than the 2.4G.

I see that you avitar you have avery nice looking Yak. Sometimes changeing CG is as easy as just changing or taking off the spinner. I am going to set up my new 110" with a black anodized Tru-turn spinner then to get more 3D capable, I will just remove the spinner or change it to a Carbon fiber lighter spinner.

On my 88" yak even though the tank is in front of the wing tube, the depleting fuel tank does not effect the flight quality very much. I know the 110" will awesome!

50mm drop is what I calculated. Measured from exhaust port to center of tune pipe tunnel.

WOW! 54" long elevator servo extensions for a 100cc plane.
What brand servo extensions did you use, or did you make them up yourself?
What is the length of the fuselage?
