Well guys, I'm back at the house semi moving around but moving. Some of you may not know that on Oct 27 I got my big feet tangled up in a pylon and fell, breaking my right hip - ball and socket both. I was sent to the local Vicksburg hospital but ended up at the University of MS hospital over in Jackson. It was several days before they could actually do the operation since I threw a clot and ended up on a ventilator for five days. The surgeons eventually replaced the socket with a ceramic one and the ball on the upper part of my femur with a titanium one. So, I was in ICU for another 7 days until they moved me onto a general floor. After that I went to Methodist rehab for 14 days and got worked out pretty hard. I have more upper body strenght now than I ever had. I can even walk too.
The worst part of the ordeal was when they took my insulin pump away from me. It was like cutting off an arm. My Blood Glucose went crazy until I finally got it back. What an ordeal. I can't go back to work until after the first of Jan 08 (too bad!!). Hopefully, I will be back in IMAC operation by the end of Jan 08 and plan to see you all at the Judging school in Ft Worth in February. Send me some emails or call me a 601.638.8286 - it will do me good to hear you again. Bobby (AKA, TDD) |

Thaks guys for all the encouragement. Yes, I plan on being at the judging school over in Ft. Worth so I'll probably see y'all there.
Ryan, no one at the hospital ever saw an insulin pump! Hard to believe but true. So, if your wife ever goes into the hospital be sure you know how to run it as she may not be in a condition to. Thanks again guys, I move a little better every day. Bobby |

Thanks again guys for the kind words. Gary, humm, ceramic-titanium linkage? If it's good enough for a new hip it should be good enough for a new linkage setup!! We already have the titanium pro-links, now all we need is the ceramic part!!
Later guys, TDD (aka Bobby) |

Bobby,
I'm glad to hear everything is going to work out. You should have plenty of time to play on RealFlight now while you are recovering. Can you run faster with that new state of the art bionic robot hip? Can you dunk a basketball too? |
