Don't use a regulator. Use 1 or 2 2300mah A123 packs with either 1 dual output super-switch or 2 regular switches with deans connectors on the input.

Or better yet use the new Spektrum AR9100 receiver and 2 A123 packs directly into the receiver.

Either way, regulators are out now.

i have one of these aircraft.

it started with two rx's and two 3600 mah nimh packs.

it now has a power expander/turbo reg with two 4800mah packs feeding all the 5955 servos.

the difference was night and day. honestly. i put it down to the fact that a single power or even two power leads into an rx does not supply enough amps to power amp hungry servos.

for example, i was having a hard time with nice knife edge loops using just rx's, i swapped to the pxpder/trbo reg setup and i was astounded by the difference.

smoke systems on film covered planes are a real pita. unburnt fluid gets under the seams and creates a problem.

for a prop, i use a biela 27x 10 carbon prop. really good 3d/imac perfromer.

when you see talal next say hi to him for me. i actually bought my yak from him when i was in saudi.
