Big congratulations Quique. I was at our flying field the final day of the contest. Max showed up to get some flights. I asked him if results were announced and he said not yet. Anyway, after an hour of flying, I just could not stop thinking about the results so I packed and headed home. I jumped in front of the computer there I got the news! WOW what moments!
<o></o> As many of you know, I have had the pleasure for the last couple of years to work very closely with Quique and his company. What I would like to mention about Quique is he is the most open minded person I have met! Key to his success is his consistency, down to earth character and he is all ears when you talk to him even if you are criticizing something related to him! I have not once heard him talk negative about anyone or anything and trust me we talk on regular basis! Not once a negative word out of this man’s mouth! <o></o> Years from now we may forget who won what but one thing remains with us all is the perception we have from people! Be humble, be open minded, be consistent, don’t give up and have the decency to see the better and you shall succeed in your life, in flying and in people’s hearts! Quique is that person! I am very much honored to know such person! <o></o> Thank you from the bottom of my heart for what you do and how you do it to excel this hobby of ours in every way you can!<o></o>> Reza |

Quique,
I just want to thank you for being such a great influence on the sport/hobby that I love. In this day and age it is so common to see arrogance and unpleasant behavior in public figures, you are a breath of fresh air and an inspiration. I have always seen you as a class act. You reap what you sow in this life. I do hope that my two young sons get to see you fly someday in person and we get to shake your hand. I am a fan of you as a pilot and a Man. I wish you and your family the best. How old are your children/ Do they fly? Any thoughts on introducing children (3 and 5 in my case) to RC? My boys have not shown a huge interest nor sufficient maturity to fly yet...I am hoping. thanks again David Poles |

I think F3A (pattern) will make you to fly better any type of airplane. Most of top fliers compete in pattern or if some of them do not compete they fly them at home for practice. Finesse, style, geometry smoothness shines when you fly pattern ship. These are true principle of the aerobatic and for sure very helpful for any kind of aerobatic you are practicing. I will encourage your son to practice pattern, for sure if Luciano or Sebastian my sons likes to fly model airplane that will be the class I will advise them to practice. Take care. OK guys and Gals and especially Quique and all the other great competitors and friends I meet with in Argentina. I admit to sandbagging or getting lazy on the aftermath of that great week and this new front page article has pretty much shamed me into getting the backside into gear and showing you all what a really fantastic time it was. I have a few hundred photos and have selected the best to share here in this thread..
If anyone wants the originals in HD then please PM me and I will Email them off to you. However first off Quique, you done it mate. I have that look on your face on that final day etched in my mind forever. If determination alone decides the winner then you won that event as well. But putting all the serious stuff aside, and there was ten days of that, the friendships and absolute relief when an event that big is all over becomes obvious. There is a lot at stake to win something this big, there's always the speculation and couch potato gallery trying find an illicit collaboration or some reason to dispute the outcome. But let me tell you, once you see the way the finals of that event are judged and scored and collated it all comes down to the best man on the day wins. Quique old mate, you deserved it, you were on a mission and thats all that mattered. Thats why you have that cup and that certificate to frame and cherish for the rest of your life. No one else is World Champion F3A 2007 other then you. But as I said earlier once the nitty gritty is over with you see the game faces come off and the old friends enjoying the same hobby come out. Thats what I hope to portray in the following photos. Credit must go to Mr Colin McGinn, one of the principal owners of Flight Power and a guy I can truly call a good friend after spending the week in his company at the championships. This guy has an evil eye with a camera and Colin has willing sent me his top shots to share here on FG with you all. Colin, thanks a lot mate. Your not too bad for a Pommie after all. |

How do you design your new planes like the Brio, Euphoria? What do you start with? Basic proportions or just sketch something that looks about right and then adjust it to your needs.
When flying a new design it sometimes pitches and rolls. If you would make a second version what would you do to tweak this out and when, for eg. if it pitches to the belly what would you change? Congrats for your passion! Keep up! You were the one that started Yak 54 obsession and my biggest dream is to get the 3W or your Yak! |

Congratulations to you Quique and the US team for a wonderful performance.
I live in Miramar, Argentina which is located next to the ocean. It is pretty windy year round. My question is, what is the maximum wind that is acceptable for practicing either F3A, IMAC or your invention 3D . Thank you so much.

Hey Quique,
Any chance you will every release the 44% Python as a production model? Can't wait to see the 100 cc fly in person! It sounds like it's awesome! Thanks for also being a true role model in not only believing in certain morals, standards, and values but living every day of your life as such! Hats off to you for being a fine gentleman, on and off the field! Wayne and Reza, you are awesome folks as well. Thanks for all the behind the scenes support! QQ Aircraft Company is the best! ![]() Regards, Tom

I do have very good memories as you do from TOC's and as happened to you the TOC was one of my inspiration as well. When I was a beginner I dreamed to compete at TOC.
The year I learned to fly (1977) was the year that Hanno Prettner won his first World Championships here in Springfield, Ohio the town that I live now. Hanno was my biggest inspiration and it was even more when I sow him flying live for the first time back in 1983 in W/C (Pensacola Fl.) Amazing pilot. Hanno was my main inspiration and I also admired the talent of Dave Brown and Mark Radcliff. An other person that inspired me and still doing is Ivan Kristensen a great person and flier. USA has been very warmly and my family and me are very thankful with the States. Take care.
