Mine has a 23x8 will plenty of ground clearance left so a 27x10 would be no problem! I'd love to see it. But it's not needed on this plane.

I have a Brillelli 60 on mine and I fly at 1/2 throttle most of the time.

a DA 85 is WAY TOO MUCH in a 88" EF Yak,I have a DA 50 in my EF and a DA 85 in a SD 33% Yak and that combo is almost to much power.

i say give it a try and see for yourself. as long as you can use the stick on the left you should be just fine. i only say this because i see a lot of guys that dont know the throttle stick works after takeoff. nothing wrong with power as long as you use it correctly

Chris will NOT warrent this plane with the DA-85. I assume this is going to be like that Lanier Edge W/ DA-85 thread again... WAY OVERKILL!

HAHA Very true!

And HTS, It's not about weight! It's about the enormous amount of torq that engine kicks out.

SP33D As far as I remember Throttle stick is indeed a proportional channel as well, no control line here

Hi All,
thanks for so many answers ! well my request was only to know if somebody already do it and also to get feedback from experienced owners.
I was already thinking that a DA85 will be probably too much for this frame, as it is design arround the DA50.

So by reading your comment, i will use "as plan" a DA50r with KS 1060 pipe.

I think the new 12x has a weight/wing loading stick that is proportional as well.

You may want to also consider the ES Composites carbon fiber tuned pipe, makes good power and alot of people are having good luck with them.
