Default Superstition Challange IMAC Contest Jan19-20

Anyone out there planning on coming to the first IMAC contest of the year?

This one is starting to shape up and it looks like a great place for us to take a whack at the 2008 sequences. This might also be one of the few contests in AZ where the weather is nice and cool.

You can sign up at www.letsflyrc.com.

See you there.
Pedro.

Hey Guys,

The contest is looking to be a blast. We have 32 contestants so far and still 3 weeks until the contest. For those of you that have not been to the field the airspace is very large and flat, perfect for IMAC. There will be no sound problems (I guess Eric P will have that loud prop onJ) but I believe a sound score will be enforced. For those interested I will be having a barbecue at my house Sat night. I bet there will be some foam planes in the pool before the night is over.

Cheers,

Bernie

It doesn't look good for me. I have to work a few weekends in Jan and this appears to be one of them.

This contest is starting to shape up nicely.
So far there are 35 pilots signed up.

Should be a good place to try and get some of those Tucson Shootout points.

This is going to be a great contest. The field is ready and the prize fund is growing nicely. With thirty five already signed up, sign up soon if you are going too. The cut off is at 50.

Now up to 36 pilots registered. If you plan on attending, make sure you register before the 50th pilot.

Any locals out there with good information on hotels?
Looks like there will be lots of pilots from out of town.

Well now I know for sure I won't be there........

Was flying yesterday and was trying to add a mix in for knife edge flight on the Su-26.......I put it on the mix switch and wham......it no longer works. I tried several models and the radio was not recognizing the switch movements on the display screen or to the airplane.

I took the radio apart at home and no bad connections that I could see. Final step, I loaded the model to a friends 10X and everything worked as it should on his.....so my radio is now being sent back to JR for its 6yr checkup/repair

So with the holidays, not having my own radio and having to rely on using my friends that I loaded the program into.... I won't get to practice much

Not a good excuse. I'm sure someone up there has a spare radio you can borrow for a month or so.
Oh wait.... are you afraid of Dente?

That's surprising...I've never heard of a local contest that limited the number of contestants.

Only 1 other person has a 10X.....I'm not about to take his radio for a month so he can't fly. I'm also not about to reprogram everything into a new radio either. I'm hoping to get the radio back fast!

Boulder--not uncommon in the SW to limit pilots in the early part of the year. With 50+ pilots, not much daylight hours and the position of the sun.

Makes sense, just haven't heard of it before. That's what I get for coming from the Midwest, by the time the weather was conducive to having a contest, the daylight hours were never an issue

It looks like the Sportsman Class could use more pilots, Sam, I have a Hitec Flash and 555 receiver you can borrow until you get yours back. Let me know?
