Default Belt CP Airwolf conversion BUILD

well i done it,, maken a scale bird. i was browsing helidirect and seen the body on sale,, so i had to.. this is the fusino fiberglass body made for trex 450. so far it looks great, theres a few ' last of the batch" goofs wrong with the finish, but oh well.see the yellow arrows . the body with retact no servo is 10.4 oz. there is a newer revised version with rivits and lights but this one is cheaper haha.. im noticing the tail on my belt might be a bit longer then the indictated tail location but test will tell.. heres the pics!
mike
ps, also got carbon blade.. man they look good!

Ive always loved the looks of the 500's. Sleek, small, kind of like a sports car. I will do a scale project some day, most likely 222 or 230 in MERCY air med scheme. Or who knows with the bodies that are coming out, perhaps a nice 500. Pit, I've seen guys 3D the TT scale ships. Bert Magbanua has done some light 3D with his. It was a trip to see it hovering inverted inches off the ground.

I've been itching to do my newly built Century Carbon Predator Gasser in a Airwolf scheme....but am unsure of where and what size body to buy. That and the bodies are so pricey....I cringe when I start to look at prices.

man there is nothing that looks quite as good as a scale heli doing scale flying. and hovering manuveres. it is the best too me. all the flipping and flooping dosent look as good too me , but thats just me. hovering correct is quite hard. i flew helis for over 11 years and loved it. i did 2 scale models and swore them off after the last which was the hughs 500D. there is way too much work that goes into it. but when it spools up for the first time, i cant think of anything better. not even with any of the planes i have flown to date dosent match up. but i just really cant afford both so i stay with the planes. i cant even afford the planes everything is soo expensive. one of these days i will end up just watching

well said rede2fly,, the gasser scales are nutz.. the price for a 50 - 60 size fuse is crazy! but i would try one,, i can see me doing a scale bird but i want to fly it,, not just hover and look good, so the details wouldnt be true to scale. unless someday i hit the jackpot so i can build the blackhawk haha... didnt do anything yet to this fuse, just tinkering with final stuff on the mechanics

yes they have to fly, but fly to scale. that is what iam talking about. its not like you ever see a heli doing the things that the rc helis do. i just dont think i would like seeing a scale ship fliping around like its going into some kind of spaz attack. pod and boom its ok. flips, rolls, and inverted flight and death spins and all that stuff is great to watch, and its hard to do, but not for a scale ship. now thats just me. i guess iam just too old. its kinda like seeing a p51 doing harrier flight or trying to hover it.
