Default A123 in a park flyer

Hy man's

I want to buy a 45-47 inch park flyer like the 3dhs yak 54, or extreme flight planes..these airplane are usually powered by a 3 cell l2200mah lipo battery. (11.1V)
Can I use a 3 cell 2300mah A123 cell battery pack (9.9v) to power this size of plane or I need a 4 cell pack (13.2v)?

thanks in advance for the help..

Yup, you'll need 4 cells for A123, you'll be heavier but will have better power than li-po. Also, you would wanna use the 1100mAh A123 cells and not the 2300mAh since the 2300 are wayyy heavier for that application.

Over on ezonemag.com, one of the long time poster's (everydayflier) has run 4-cell and even 5-cell 2300 A123 packs in the 47" 3DHS Extra. No problems. Weight was not a problem for his style of flying.
