I'm in! Las Vegas has lousy weather (wind) every time I fly there, hopefully this time will be different. However, Sam is one hell of a contest director, I wouldn't miss one of his contests. Besides Vegas is a fun town.
So Sam, as part of your official CD duties, between now and the contest, you must attend at least three religious services of your choice a week, and pray for good weather. Sacrificing a few chickens might help as well. |

I'd like to try IMAC and maybe Vegas will be my first real contest. BTW, my calendar shows Feb 15/16 to be Fri/Sat. are the contest dates correct ?
I think I last flew at N. Vegas field in '93 and there were no houses around then. So as for sound, will a DA 100 on standard mufflers and a wood 27x10 be OK? (I guess I can get a cabon prop if that will help). I'll start at Basic, but have been practicing the Sportsman too. Hey Sam, can a pilot enter and fly in two classes if this is his first contest? Jacob & his dad used to fly at my local field here in So Cal, and he was geting better all the time. Hmmm, maybe better to just fly Basic... PS: I have fond memories of the N. Vegas field as I was a first year member of the Propnuts! Dan |

Fixed the dates...(16-17) 15th is a practice day. You can only enter 1 class. And trust me Basic or Sportsman in the SW are filled with great pilots. Your engine/muffler/prop combo should be ok. Its about throttle managment. The houses are now right behind the parking lot. Very close to the field.

Please pre-register for the event. (Currently we are at 14 pilots and I know we have 3 times that amount in the region!)
It makes things alot easier on me if I have an idea on who is coming in each class! I also have some plans for those that pre-register before a certain date. Thanks Sam Sponsor list to date: 8 Of course........Flying Giants is a sponsor once again!
