Alright !!. This thread is for real gonna go where it was intended,(I think).I am starting over and am so very interested in the 2.4 stuff because I have been shot down from an experienced modeler even after I asked him if they were OFF and can I use the channel. Unfortunately they were working on a new plane maidened minutes before and guess what ? Just me and him at the field. I have a JR 783 and I don't even know at this point if I can get a module for it but I was looking hard at more channels anyway, the 9303 being my only choice for that. After that day if someone was on my channel I can't take their word for it I have to practically hold their Tx in my hand. Nothing personal.
Having said all that, I think 2.4 as promised is the greatest thing since presliced bread. I visited a new club I was thinking about joining once in KY and a guy got his 60 size heli shot down in the one hour I was there and frankly I can no longer afford that. So please let's get the tests ! Last edited by zoomer260; 01-09-2008 at 12:04 AM. Reason: Spelling |

Does anyone have a link to what the regulations are for operation on 2.4g?

Everyone still friends in here?
There is a ton of value in testing this stuff, and like I need to say this, this is valuable information for anyone getting into 2.4. It's awesome that these guys are offering to do testing, and IMO, we need to bail on the drama forum posts, and get to the nitty gritty. Let's get the value back in this thread as this is a very informative topic. Cool? If you feel like you want to hammer someone on a topic for any reason, consider the purpose of this thread, and please think twice. Let's let the boys do the good work, we all owe them a thanks. Let's start this thing over from this post on. Thanks. MD

And BTW, to any of the people testing - it just occurred to me that the title of this thread is not quite accurate to what we're trying to accomplish.
If any of the people who will be testing wish, specifically the thread author XJet, we can lock this down, and create a new "2.4 testing thread" that is pertinent to what we're discussing here, and pin it in this forum. You're call, any of our staff will help. thanks guys. MD

Just wanted to make sure you understand that the FASST antennas are not 1 inch apart. There are two antennas on FASST receivers. Each are on the end of a length of coax cable and can be located about 6 or 7 inches apart. This gives roughly the same (maybe a tad more) spatial diversity as an AR7000 with one remote receiver. Not pushing either brand, just wanted to make sure you were aware of how they are made. Later; D.W. |

Sorry if this is a bit off-topic for this thread but I know everyone will be interested, it appears that another FASST ID conflict incident has been reported, this time in the UK.
Futaba really do seem to have a problem. It's over at RCU for anyone interested. |
