Even after phasing all the old stuff out, you could still be shot down by the park flyer that picks up a synthesized module at a garage sale for 5 bucks.

It's a good idea in theory but difficult in practice....
Probably to expensive. The TX would always have to scan for the next unused channel of 2 and tell the rx where to move for a secondary channel. Kinda like the XPS is supposed to do, but with way more channels on 72 available. The people with 72mhz could still use the old equipment but everyone would still have to pin up on the primary allocated channel. Only with the new 72, you could not be shot down at the field or the dude in the garage. With the tx constantly scanning you could also not shoot down fellow flyer's.

Perhaps I am a crackpot, but the 2.4 band just seems like a very dirty, bad place to go when 72 is already ours, well at least here.

Guys,

I have a device on the way that will allow me to transmit on any of the 2.4 bands in question, I can force it to skip so it should chase Futaba all over the place, It can be aimed at a set channel causing at least one Spektrum channel to take a hit and it can pulse so that should should be enough to force a skip with XPS.

I cant go into it all right now as the hardware is on the way. Once I get it then I will do my best to explain what , how and why.

But between what Xjet is doing (hi Tech) and mine (Backyard) we will find a lot of answers and maybe a few questions.

Keep posted,

Still waiting on the chips for my signal-generator to arrive. I'm starting to think they're on a very slow boat ;-)

I have everything finally in Miami and it will be arriving down here with a friend this weekend.

Sorry this is slow but trying to get everything together has been a real PITA> I normally ship out of Miami weekly but with it being the holiday season down here the traffic (friends) have all been going the wrong way.

Finally I think I have it sorted.

50, Its not like like walking down to Comp USA to get this stuff. It taken a lot of time and the combined effort of other guys on the site to get everything we need together.

Next week it will be all on.

Yes mate. Its in the box with the 2.4Ghz signal generator, band width scanners, etc etc etc.

Until I got it all in one place it was senseless bringing things down one at a time. Much easier to loose some thing that way. This way its in a box and once I have that I have 100% of what I needed.

I'm one that is waiting for the results to upgrade from an old JR XP783. Spectrum is now at the top of the list because I still can't come with a real need to double the price to go to a 9303. Seven channels and 8 models still work for me. 33% is as big as I have been and as big as I want to go. But I really want 2.4 to be what it is intended to be. No more shoot downs from careless pilots (it's happened to me!) . I still wouldn't mind getting a tag from impound.
No rush, I won't buy another Tx til the 2008 building season !!

Then it's back to 33% and I'll really hate to lose another.

Then why was this thread posted without further proof and substanciation, other than hearsay?

The scanner has arrived, The XPS units have arrived, My transmitter module for the 2.4 Ghz spectrum analyzer has not and without that I cannot do a thing to force the XPS hop sequence.

Guys I'm 6000 miles from the nearest radio shack shop. One diode or one bloody screw missing and it takes me two weeks to get it.

No ones forgotten the thread, guys have an investment in it with hardware and cash.

Hang in and thou shalt see but it will not be before next weekend at the earliest.
