The answer is "Z". Check with anyone graphing in 3 dimensions, the third is Z.

Would you guys trust the XPS in 35% and up planes? Toy planes are least of my concerns now but I do have a system close to being ready in a smaller plane.

This thread is now getting to be very interesting reading and I'm fairly certain that (by now) JD is watching. Wonder why the company doesn't defend it's product ? I've wondered this throughout this entire thread.

Kiwi, are you following the new thread on RC Groups that Daemon has posted using a 2.4 TV system to vary the interference?

My guess is that he will announce that the R/C field is now "too crowded to be profitable" or something along those lines and announce he's going to produce electronic control systems for the quilting hobby.
.
.
Either that or just take down his web site and disappear; leaving hundreds of heartbroken Fanboys posting tearful "Stop picking on JD" videos on YouTube.

I sincerely hope not as my grandmother enjoys quilting and I wouldn't want to be concerned for her safety

Glad to see your results rolling in Kiwi and looking forward to more test data...

Once the Freq hopping has been defined by the company on when it actually will and they introduce the satellites with real time telemtry it would be a viable option. Even without the hopping, but with the satellite and telemetry I think it is still viable in some areas where 2.4 is not so saturated.

A question for Xjet (since you are a pro on Xbee).

Is it possible for XPS to change and transmit on 2 freqs vs 1 like spektrum or is that not possible? I'm just wondering.

Well lets see......

The company went to the AMA show.......Then they went to the Arizona Fest.....Then they went to Germany. Postings from Germany stated they wouldn't be back in the states until Sat-Sun timeframe. I'd expect something this week.

After loosing my jet, I've been told repeatedly that I should have never flown what I couldn't afford to loose... If you can afford loosing your plane and are comfortable with a higher loss % than the other 2.4 systems due to channel restraints and lack of hopping then I would say 'go for it'. Understand that you will find very little sympathy or understanding if you do happen to loose your plane due to xps issues...

If that were really true, then we'd all just auger in our planes nose first at the end of the maiden flight. I think you should have a reasonable expectation for the equipment you purchase to perform as the manufacturer claims, not as they wish it performs so they can make the sale. That is why we have truth in advertising laws.

Well, Jim Drew is back and both testing threads on RC Groups have been dumped. Didn't take him long to delete them.

Agreed....but some of those threads needed to be deleted because they were just bash threads.

There is a PDF file of the hop test thread so that data has been saved.

A couple of the threads should have stayed though.
