Default 3w140/Walbro carb Question

I just got a 3W140I b2 from a friend that could not seem to keep it running in the air, on the ground it ran great. I repaired the phenolic block which had a air leak, and just got a carb kit. But here is my question...It has a WGA7 carb, the high end needle is rounded on the end it does not come to a point like the low end one. on all my other engines both needles have points. Is this normal? thanks for any help.
