It looks like a nice plane.
Possibly a bit "stubby" or very scale looking. Find out what year it was built. And how heavy it is. But also weigh all that on what your paying for it. If a "song" is cheap enough, anything can be worth it.

The kit I saw in person was very dated in design. The landing gear legs weighed about 2 lbs each. The control surfaces are very small. It is very short coupled.

Thanks for the info. I failed to mention that it comes with a 3w150. Is that enought motor ? I'm not sure about the weight at this time.

A 3W150 is a good motor for a 40% plane, but how old is the motor.
A realistic price on a 3W 150 with standard mufflers is $1100 - $1300. So if the total package is around $2000 thats not a BAD deal, but I wouldn't pay over $2000. AS Rolling Thunder said, it seems to be a slightly dated airframe, so if you intend on doing basic aerobatics and scale like flying, this plane may be OK, but if you intend to 3D this may not be a good choice. I would find out more about the motor, the weight of the plane, what else is included, and how much your paying. We can help you figure out if the deal is truly a "song"

I've got a pic of that same plane (the one of it on the patio) that I use for my wallpaper every now and again. Sure is PURDY. I like the panel lines. And I've seen unfinished kits airframe only advertised for more that two grand.

SleepyC,
From what I've found out the motor is a TOC ( red head ) version freshly rebuilt from 3w. that has only been bench run. The seller is asking 1k for the plane, motor, prop, spinner, ect. no servoes are included. |

I believe Andy Kane had one of those a few years back.
Maybe he can answer your questions. FWIW Ira |

The motor and spinner are well worth 1K. So in that case, the plane is a complete bonus. AS Vic said, Jump on it. Worst case , you hate the plane, dump it for a few hundred, and you still have a very nice motor. ![]() Best case, the plane rocks and you got a smoking deal.

Man I could carry a grand in my pocket 24-7 for years and never get a deal like that. I've always had a thing for 260's

Talk to Gerhard at AI, when I was talking to him a year ago about my 3w212b4 he said he was getting a lionair extra with a 212b4 and he was quite excited.
