If it hasn't been damaged, it is the deal of the year so far.

Well I got to lay my eyes on it yesterday, it appears to be a 300 rather than a 260. Also there was some damage to the fuse around the landing gear area and the canopy is missing. The motor looks to be in great shape. The seller said that he had never mounted the motor to the aircraft. I don't think that the fuse will be a hard fix other than the canopy. Anyone know where I can locate one.?
Still on the fence on this one, Haven't seen one like this before.

If I was you, Tim, I'd get off the fence and RUN RUN RUN as fast as you can away from it.

First off, the Lionair is HEAVY. Expect 44-45 lbs, or more, no matter what you do to it. Secondly, it's flying characteristics leave a lot to be desired, although for IMAC it can be flown reasonably well once you get used to it. It's not your best 3D bird, although it can do it.

The biggest problem is the weight, which it has a lot of, and wing loading, which is rather high. The 150 WILL need a tuned exhaust to haul the plane around very well, as well as a 2-bladed prop, which will get noisy because you are going to have to be on the power a lot. parts can be attained through Aircraft International. They used to import the model.

If you want to know more about the Lionair 260, I'd advise calling Andy Kane, who is a Composite-Arf representative. Go to the Comp-Arf website, and look him up under the "Sales Rep" part of the site. He's very helpful, and can answer any questions you might have about the planes flying qualities.
