Huh? It is still not a "Mark Leseberg" trademark scheme. I have seen three of Kenny's covering schemes and they all look similar to this one. This scheme has Kenny Lauder written all over it. If the scheme belongs to anyone, it is Kenny, and Billy got permission - he went to the right guy and did the right thing.

Yes, I know that the plane is owned by Mark but the scheme was designed by Kenney and not Mark. There are a few different similar schemes that Kenney has done that look very close to this one. If this was Marks scheme, I would have called Mark to get it and I am sure he would not have had a problem either. I am sorry you are the only one with the issue. In the future, if you have issues with something I did, my email address is all over the place.

And if I see a plane that copied one of mine, or looks like it slightly,
I get excited.

I was given an inside tip that you stole the J3 scheme from a real Piper aircraft, it also looks like a Piper aircraft how dare you do that in MODEL aviation. My only complaint is if I have to go to the barn and get Cub Yellow covering and they tell me it is on back order for 6 months. Keep up the good work. I was lucky enough to see it in person but you have to get the video out, slow motion landings on one wheel to a full stop on one wheel and a wing tip and then a 3 foot takeoff roll still on one wheel.

All I am saying is that when you pay someone to create a original scheme for your plane and the next thing you know, they have turned around and given it out to someone who is going to mass produce it kinda sux.

Both Billy and Kenny had the opportunity to say "Hey, do you mind if we copy that scheme onto an ARF we are going to produce". But neither did, I just think it would be nice of people to give a guy a call. Call it a courtesy thing.

Kinda like paying a custom home builder to build a unique home for you, then the builder and one of his buddies turns around and build 50 more just like yours in your neighborhood.

Billy and Kenny, don't take this the wrong way I'm not angry or meaning to blast anyone. It just seems common place for people to take what they want and let God sort it out in the end. I just like seeing people take a moment and think of the other guy.

I agree with you completely, but again all I'm saying is taking a moment to think of the other guy especially when you are profiting from it can do a lot in bringing people in the hobby together.

Dude, It's just my opinion. Just wanted to pitch it out there. Evidently not many share the same opinion which is totally fine. But thats one of the reasons we have forums like this, opportunity to share thoughts and see how others feel.


All the same, the plane and scheme look fantastic. I would be proud to own one as I'm sure anyone else would.

If it was a exact copy of a signature design yea I can agree with you. and I can see how this design would be confused with one of kennys (even though it is not). but if it were my design and some one as established in this hobby as hempel was to take my design and make one of his own I think I would be honored. Lots of different companies have planes that resemble one from a outside company. This kenny guy that designed the planes mentioned above has some mad skillz and crap If I had the money to buy one of those planes from hempel I would in a heat beat.
by the way bill the cub is awesome I think it would be a had choice to decide on just one plane you have made.
