Maiden should be today if all goes well. Was going to maiden wednesday but some things poped up. Hopfuly today. I only have 1400 in mine with the DL-50. Not a bad deal.

Flys great. Awesome power with the DL-50. Unlimited vertical. Starts very predictably. Love the whole setup. A+ !

I don't think I can make saturday now... I think we are going to Typhoon Lagoon now. Sunday I will probably fly if the regs are in. I bought two because I want dual redundancy. I have to make this plane last a long time.

Alright, I highly recommend ripping out your old gear plate and making a new one. I used 10 ply with sumo locktite. VERY STRONG. I was flying in NC and when I went to land (not a bad landing) the gear riped off and made a hole in my wing and dinged it up a little. All fixed though. That old gear plate STINKS! I bent it a little then... SNAP! It basicly crumbled after that.

Bob, when ya wana go huck'n? Maby sunday? Saturday we are going to TRY to go to Sun 'n Fun if my dad is off. I'll keep ya updated on it.

Sp33d,

I had the same thing happen to me on my first landing. Landing gear ripped right out. Upon inspection after I removed the covering from the bottom of the plane, the thing was held in with a minimal amount of CA glue, not a trace of epoxy anywhere. Mine is the PAU/BME Aircraft version, but they are made by the same manufacturer. Oh well, I am over it now and in the process of repairing it.

I had about 12 flights on mine when it happend. Later i'll try to get pics of how i fixed it. Hard to explain, but i didn't just glue a gear plate back in.

You saw mine come down when we flew up at Rennies. That was on a turn while taxing. I have it epoxied back together and it has been fine for several hundred flights now.

I am going to sun-n-fun on Saturday. If your dad is working, you can come with us. Let's huck it on Sunday.

Yep were going to sun 'n fun saturday as well.

I might be able to go flying today, and my mom might be able to take me after church on sunday.

Nope, I flew Friday and my muffler blew off the cylinder part of it. It got bent when it pancaked and I got someone to bend it back and weld it for me. So I ordered a pitts muffler last night along with PA carbon fiber pants. My engine "burbles" a lot. Maby the pitts muffler will help it out some. I got the TBM one for like $55, that's pretty good for a pitts muffler.
