Here is the rear portion of the fuse. Notice how Walt has added a small piece of ply to allow for stab rention via (2) 6-32 cap screws and blind nuts.

Getting ready to sheet this turtle deck. Walt glued a 3/4 strip of 1/16 balsa on the bottom edge. This will act like a gusset for the fuse diagonals on the top fuse side and also allow the sheeting to cover this edge when the skin is attached. This will hide the seam from showing through the covering....

All the sheeting is made up except for the wings and the hatch. Here is the sheeting for the vertical stab/fin.

Ryan; does the stock 300 use an "L" bracket like on the 260 for stab retention.

I like bolting through the root cap like that. Do you still run a bolt through the stab tube?

I like my old mounting method better than the tabs under the stab. A little hard to install but really solid!. Since the Dalton has ligthning holes where those internal bolts would go, the tab under the stab was the obvious choice.

I know Walt has been wanting to build one of these for a while. Looking forward to hear what he has to say!

Build is looking good so far.
