Well I got my Extreme Flight Extra finished and maybe I can get the maiden in tomorrow or Sunday.
Setup is DL-50 on a MTW RE2 tuned pipe with a Vess 23A. Will be putting my DA back on it as soon as it gets back form DA. 8611A's all around except rudder which has an 8711A. This plane went together really quick and was very eay to build. |

Nice looking plane! I am on the list to get one.
What's the AUW? Do you have any pics of the inside of the fuse? Are you going to make a video? |

Yeah I got one of the ones in the first shipment. It also pays to live close enough to drive down and pick your plane up.
Jeff hopefully I will get some video tomorrow. Thanks |

Are you using a DA-50 or DL-50? Post says DL, but picture says Powered by DA. Awesome looking plan BTW!

I was going with the DA and the ignition went out. I had a new in the box DL on the shelf so I put it in it. I will be putting my DA back in it as soon as it gets back from DA. The DL will be going in my Wild Hare Ultimate.
Jeff at DA wanted the engine and ignition so they could do a complete check out on it. |

I started building mine today. Best quality construction and finish I've seen, goes together very fast. I'm waiting on the DA 50 from Extreme Flight and as soon as that gets here I'll have it finished.

The maiden flight was Sunday. I dont know why every time I get ready to maiden an airplane the wind decides to blow around like a tornado. The maiden was great. Three clicks of down and it was straight as a board. The plane flies very good. It would IMAC and 3d both really well. There was very little coupling in knife edge. Upright and inverted flatspins were very flat with very little throttle needed to make the plane lay down flat.
We did not get it to low to the ground due to the wind and the low end on the pipe was a bit peaky. I did get some pictures but no video as the wind was just nasty. I will try and get some video this week or this weekend. |
